5 Ways to Support Small Independent Schools During the Health and Financial Crisis

Mar 18, 2020

Hey friend,

Does your child attend an independent school? Or perhaps there's one in your neighborhood?

Then you've seen the tremendous value they provide children. These nonprofits serve students and families and are driven by their unique missions. They're an important part of our community.

Yet, independent schools, just like small businesses and nonprofits, have been impacted by the health and financial crisis.

Schools are closing. Those without distance learning plans have had to quickly train staff and faculty how to use tools and create a virtual curriculum.

If you work at a school, you've seen how the massive effort administration and faculty are putting into supporting their community during this crisis.

Yet, these schools are hurting too. Although independent schools are resilient, they rely on tuition and donations to pay the amazing teachers and staff that work there.

They're wondering and worrying - just like small businesses -about the future. How will this impact students? What if this continues on for months? What if we lose customers? What if...

I created this video because I love independent schools. I've seen the transformational impact they've had on students. I've also seen how they're hurting during this crisis.

I urge you to take a moment to support your independent schools. I've shared 5 tips in this video that I know will go a long way towards helping independent schools during this challenging time.

Please view this video and let me know how you plan to support your local independent school.

Thinking of you all...
