Know Better, Do Better with Retention

Remember that saying, "know better, do better?" As we learn more, we begin to understand that we are not always doing things in the best way, and are actually making things harder than they need to be. 

How can we make things easier for ourselves? How can we do better? 

As a small school, when it comes to retention, we often compare ourselves to other schools or aim for an unrealistic goal.

For example, let's say your retention is 75%, and the national average is 90%. You may be inclined to aim for 90% next year, and then become disappointed when you're only at 78%.

Instead, let's aim for improvement. Then, that 78% becomes a success, a small win along the way to doing even better.
