How Optimism Hurts Your Private School's Enrollment

Sep 20, 2020

Hi there,

I'm really excited to chat with you about this topic.

Are you waiting for things to get back to normal?

Do you think that you'll easily keep your public school families?

Are you feeling burnt out and just looking forward to fall 2021?

If this is you, then you're going to want to watch to this video.

Why? Because it's a common thing I'm seeing right now. We're all overworked and looking at these huge to-do lists. And we're just thinking it's too much. And if only things would go back to the way they were.

This mindset, which I'll call the optimistic-and-burnt-out mindset, is really bad for your spring 2021 enrollment. That's because you're not focusing on the tiny things you could do now to prepare for what is most likely going to be a really rough admissions season.

Things are not going back to normal. Probably for years. So what can you do now to prepare yourself for spring?

For example, could you call 2 families a week? That  doesn't seem l like much but the compound effect on retention might be huge if you're consistent.

I hope this helps! If you're worried about retention and enrollment, check out our on-demand replay of the very popular Small School Retention Bootcamp.

I'm cheering you on!
