The "Try Before you Buy" Marketing Strategy that Gets Independent School Families in the Door!

Sep 22, 2019

Hey, I'm soooo excited to share this technique with you. Why? Because it's rarely used (effectively!) at small schools.

And it's basically a direct line into your enrollment funnel. Are you ready to hear more?

Ok, let's first start out with the why behind "try before you buy." Millennial parents are looking for that "know, like and trust" factor before they purchase anything.

You don't believe me? Start counting how many companies offer you a free trial of something. Absolutely every piece of software I've purchased has had a free trial period - a "try before you buy."

Why is "try before you buy" so important? It's all about showing your customer (prospective families) that:

  1. you offer an incredible product that'll benefit them (education)
  2. you're someone they can trust
  3. you share the same values as them.

Why should you do this for your school? Well, that's simple. When prospective families know, like and trust you, they're more willing to buy.

Private education is expensive! That's a big decision for a family to make. If you're not using the "try before you buy" strategy, you're going to find it'll become more and more difficult to even get families on campus to tour.

Check out this video to learn how you can implement the "try before you buy" strategy at your school!

Until next time...
